DIY | Mother's Day Pink Cafe

Thursday, May 5

Alright, who doesn't love a pink table?! With spring in the air, I especially enjoy working on projects that get me outside a bit more and up-cycling my backyard furniture with a new paint job definitely hit the spot. With Mother's Day just around the corner, I wanted to give her something we could both enjoy as an experience. Given that we both love cafes, chai tea lattes, and the color pink, I decided to create my own little pink cafe for her right in my backyard! It requires going outside to get your hands a bit dirty and your clothes a bit paint stained, but it's entirely worth it. Plus, you never have to change out of your pajamas to get that cute Instagram shot everyone takes at cafes! This project was inspired by the Pink Grapefruit hand wash by Method, which I'm so glad I had on hand (you'll see!). Keep reading below for a quick and easy way to update your backyard furniture and build a pink cafe for Mother's Day!

Food | London's Most Colorful Places to Eat, Part 1

Saturday, January 2

I absolutely love Brazil. I've travelled there twice, got engaged there, made great friends there, and I'm waiting for the day when I can return again. In the meantime, anything that can bring back such incredible memories of the vibrant and complex Brazilian culture is a win-win for me. When I travelled to London this past month, I sought out some of the most colorful places to eat. I'm happy to say that I was not disappointed one bit! I was especially surprised (aka...freaking out) to discover one of the most colorful buildings in the city is also a Brasilian Barbeque restaurant. Needless to say, it was a perfect match. Keep reading to see just how colorfully delicious this place is in every way!

Travel | Follow that pink coat

Saturday, December 19

This month I decided to celebrate the holidays a little differently. For the first time, I'll spend them away from home. I was a bit nervous about the idea at first. I absolutely love Christmas in California. It's warm, relaxing, and my mom always cooks a bombtastic meal. Every single time. I also get to wear my pajamas all day and not feel one ounce of shame about it. However, now that I'm married and living this whole adult life deal, I thought it was about time I expand my Christmas traditions. So, this month, I'll be traveling across Europe and spending the holidays with my husband and his family in the Czech Republic! The weather will be colder, the language harder to understand (have you ever tried to learn Czech?!), and possibly a lot more beer at dinner time. But life is an adventure right?! I'm ready to dive in.

In the meantime, you can follow my colorful journey as I trek across Paris, London, Geneva, and Prague! My unifying theme will be #followthatpinkcoat as I capture colorful sites wearing this perfect pink coat I found from Asos. There will also be travel posts on the blog for each city coming this month, as well as daily updates on my Instagam (@creativekipi). Let's go for a colorful adventure this season, shall we?!

How are you celebrating the holidays? Feel free to share below - I'd love to hear!

Client Work | Dior

Thursday, November 19

I had the absolute pleasure to work on an exciting collaboration with Dior Beauty and their newest Prestige collection! I was tasked with the challenge to creatively capture what prestige means to me. Naturally, my imagination started rolling. I based my photographs on the concept of weightlessness. My first image (pictured above) incorporates this element as the product drifts away in sweet floral waters. My second image (below) inspires a sense of lifting with the sunrise. And my third image features prestige as soaring among imaginary pink clouds - the ultimate luxury. It was a wonderful experience in creative exploration for this project, and I hope you enjoyed it! All these images were featured on my Instagram (@creativekipi), follow me for more creative captures every day!

summer party pop via the kipi blog

My friends, the day has come! The Kipi Blog just got a (mega pastel) makeover! It's been a long time coming and I'm so excited to share my new look with you, which was inspired by all things summer of course! One of my friends said my blog looks like a vintage ice cream truck and I practically cried because that was my exact goal. Ever since I discovered how to actually use this amazing thing called Instagram, I've been able to focus a lot on my photography and, as a result, explore how it has evolved over time into 'my own'. I noticed that I am truly addicted to colors - especially pastel ones - and it was about time that my blog design mirrored the rainbow that is my other social media outlets.

DIY | Easy Sunset Wall Art

Friday, May 8

Today's project is inspired by my favorite body of nature - the sun! I was approached to collaborate with Glade to creatively come up with a DIY Decor project that reminded me of summer days by a lake. I immediately felt nostalgic for sunsets over the water, bonfires crackling into the pastel sky, and that giggly warm realization you have when you realize life is pretty darn beautiful. Welp, now that the cheesy inspirational me has spoken, let's get to the fun part! This ombre wall decor is super simple, colorful, and can be completed in under 15 minutes. Sound good? I thought so!
